Did you know that CPS Social Workers have to abide by certain California State Regulations? These state regulations are called the “California Department of Social Services Manual, Division31.” This is commonly referred to as the “Division 31 Manual.” Be assured that most Social Workers do not even refer to it when doing their job. In addition, some Counties, such as Los Angeles and Santa Clara, have their own Policies and Procedures posted on the Internet which allows Parents to determine if the Social Worker is following their own County rules, or just making things up as they go!
