Emergency response (ER) services are provided to a family prior to a social worker filing a Petition to initiate Juvenile Dependency proceedings. Such services could include Parenting classes, Anger Management classes, Mental Health services and Substance Abuse Services.

Family reunification services (FR), are provided by CPS to reunify children with their Parents after they have been removed from their Parents' care.

Family maintenance services (FM), are services provided by CPS while the children are maintained in the Parents' home but under the supervision of the Juvenile Judge. That is, the kids are at home with their Parents but there is an open Juvenile Dependency case.
